A Peach Mango Pie Proposal

At night of August 18, 2013, in the midst of heavy rains and floods...this would not stop a man to do what he has planned...Finally, after 69 months and 21 days of wonderful moments of love, fun and togetherness (5 years, 9 months and 21 days to be exact)...
he already asked me in a most unexpected moment...no clues...no hints...what I've only noticed was our theme song keeps on playing repeatedly after each track on his phone while we're having dinner...ang sabi ko pa "Paulit-ulit?!". He just smiled.

I remembered the lines, "Nhey, para syo 'eto!" while he handed me a peach mango pie.
I said, "Nhey busog na ako, ang dami ko na nakain. Sayo na lang yan!" Actually, I really did not know why he keeps on insisting the peach mango pie for me.
Then he opened it. As I looked at him while he opened the peach mango pie, I wondered why it's not the peach mango pie that I was expecting. "OMG!" as I said to myself.

While he was holding it, he was already serious and continue talking, (I never been seen him as serious as this before. Nhey is a funny person. He always makes me laugh on his own special way. One of his traits that I really like...) "Nhey, para syo talaga 'eto." Then, he opened a red heart-shaped small box with a ring. "Gusto ko na kasi simulan na natin pag-usapan eto eh...Nhey, Will you marry me?"

Out of surprised, I just first said, "Anu eto Nhey? Totoo Nhey? Seryoso?". He said, "Oo, Seryoso ako.
Gusto ko na magsimula ng pamilya kasama ka!" Then, he asked me again, "Will you marry me?" he was teary-eyed then. Of course, I said "Oo nman. Yes."

He showed me the new image that was on my lock screen of my phone. He created a poster of our pictures together from our previous years around a bride and groom picture in a middle, with the caption, "Honeycoh, Honey, Nhey, Will you marry me?". I remembered that he borrowed my phone before we have our dinner. I already saw this poster when I used to unlock my phone, but I did not noticed the caption below on it. How come I didn't saw it? One of the hints that I missed.
And also, that night before our dinner starts, he keeps on holding my hand looking at my ring finger with our couple ring. Another hint that I did not even observed.

Then, we hugged and I was also teary-eyed.

His proposal is so simple but I really appreciated it (No need for videos, expensive and special proposal ideas...)
Simple but sincere. He proposed in unexpected situation and no special occasions at all.

After that, favorite ko na ang Peach Mango pie! :)

To all our friends and relatives who witnessed our love story from the start...and keeps on asking when will be the Big day...this is the start...sooner you will know the exact date! ;)
